2. Be prepared to change your eating habits. If you like sweets like cake or ice cream those days are gone. You will be replacing your cravings with protein, low fat, and carbs. This means lots of meat, fish, chicken, eggs, vegetables and fruits. Eating healthy will become as big of a part of your workout routine as the work out itself is.
3. Drink a lot of fluids. Water and sports drinks are important to make sure your body is not getting dehydrated.
4. Get a lot of rest. Bodybuilding is tiring and hard work. Rest becomes even more important the older you are. Your recovery time is harder and should be longer to make sure your body is getting the rest it needs.
5. Design your bodybuilding workout routine by talking to a professional. You may even want to go so far as to hire a coach. Just as in any other sport a coach can have a huge impact on your improvement and making sure you doing the correct things when you workout.
6. Stay away from steroids and take the right supplements. This is another area a coach or a professional can give you good advice on.
Whatever your goals are keep these six things in mind when putting together your own bodybuilding workout routine. It isn’t any one big thing that makes a difference, but rather doing several little things correctly over a period of time that will give you the body you want.
